About the event

"If we had no winter,

the spring would not

be so pleasant."

- ANNE BRADSTREET

It was a such privilege to have our very first yoga retreat together this past Fall. We are so pleased to be back this Spring for another Root 2 Flow Yoga Retreat! A wonderful time to find a new bloom of life and reconnect with nature. A perfect time to relieve our cabin fever!

We could not have asked for a better seasonal setting to experience the nature around us than Turkey Run Inn at beautiful Turkey Run State Park.

As described by Turkey Run Inn,

“Nestled inside beautiful Turkey Run State Park. Located in Parke County, the covered bridge capital of the world, this is the perfect spot for making memories naturally!

Enjoy the Inn and the Narrows Restaurant, as we are right in the middle of this beautiful park. Wake up to adventure just steps from your room, and enjoy fantastic hiking trails with canyons and ravines. Step across the suspension bridge for a view you won't forget.”

ABOUT THE RETREAT:

Scheduled classes, activities, and registration info for event will be listed at the bottom of this page.

Participants have the option of choosing from 4 different registration choices depending on your time and needs

All reservations and rooms for this retreat will be booked through us and not through Turkey Run Inn.

All classes will be split up into the following 3 categories...

*Restorative Yoga is a more restful, meditative practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. As the name suggests, this style of yoga “restores” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function, which in turn, allows the body to rest, heal, and restore balance. We will also be incorporating more of a Gentle Vinyasa practice to build energy in the body through invigorating and mindful breathing and stretching postures.

*Aquatic Yoga may be a lesser heard of yoga style, but it is no less significant and offers profound benefits. This style is ideal for everyone having difficulty with balance, stability, strength in the lower extremities, core, and upper body.  It especially helps those who’ve had recent surgeries, arthritis, hip/knee replacements or generalized weakness. Brown County Inn’s warm water pool is perfect for these strengthening skills while also relaxing in the gentle aquatic environment. Participants do not need to know to how to swim, yet should be comftorable in waist deep water.

*Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support. Benefits of chair yoga include, improved flexibility, better concentration, increased strength

We also have the very special honer again of welcoming sound healer Carla Cary to soak in a session of her meditative specialized sound frequencies to create a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release.

*Our Full Package includes all five yoga classes throughout the weekend, overnight stay, dinner Saturday, followed by Sunday breakfast, Sunday lunch, snacks, and all activities. All meals are house made from Narrows Restaurant at Turkey Run Inn. After you register, we will email out menus to each guest depending on which package you decide. Choose the best meal and beverage selections based on your dietary needs and we will have it all arranged for you by the weekend. (There will be no seasonal change in menu we send out)
