About the event

Root 2 Flow Yoga Retreat Weekend @ Brown County Inn Sat & Sun November 12-13

Autumn & November in particular, is a time to harvest and take reflection. A time to celebrate all your hard work and continue pushing forward. Celebrate this change of seasons and honor your body with a special weekend yoga retreat at the beautiful Brown County Inn in Nashville Indiana. This retreat is designed for the mental and physical reflection we all need, and for that immeasurable momentum onward.

Root 2 Flow Yoga Retreat offers a unique combination of 2 yoga styles, Restorative/Gentle Vinyasa and Aquatic. Taught independently of one another but methodically used in a powerful combination.  Restore will be taught by Wyatt McKinley and Aqua yoga by Elizabeth McKinley. (we're siblings)

The retreat's name expresses its intention to build a solid, strong foundation within yourself, then harvesting that strength and letting it flow fluidly and with ease.

All Levels of experience are welcome!

Restorative Yoga is a more restful, meditative practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. As the name suggests, this style of yoga “restores” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function, which in turn, allows the body to rest, heal, and restore balance. We will also be incorporating more of a Gentle Vinyasa practice to build energy in the body through invigorating and mindful breathing and stretching postures.

Aquatic Yoga (silently growing in popularity) may be a lesser heard of yoga style, but it is no less significant and offers profound benefits. This style is ideal for everyone having difficulty with balance, stability, strength in the lower extremities, core, and upper body.  It especially helps those who’ve had recent surgeries, arthritis, hip/knee replacements or generalized weakness. Brown County Inn’s warm water pool is perfect for these strengthening skills while also relaxing in the gentle aquatic environment. Participants do not need to know to how to swim, yet should be comftorable in waist deep water.
